What is the purpose of the Voyage Study?

The Voyage Study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of an investigational drug for severe asthma in children 6 to 11 years of age.

Who may qualify.

This study is open to those who meet the following criteria (among other qualifiers):

  • Are 6 to 11 years of age
  • Have a doctor’s diagnosis of severe asthma for at least one year prior to screening
  • Have experienced either of the following within one year prior to the start of the study:
    • Treatment (at least once) with a systemic steroid (oral or parenteral) for worsening asthma
    • Hospitalization or emergency medical care visit for worsening asthma

Study schedule.

Each child – with his or her parent or guardian – will need to:

  • Participate in the study for up to 69 weeks (including screening and post-treatment periods)
  • Attend up to 21 scheduled site visits
  • Complete a brief daily diary using an electronic device
